Analyzing trends in Edtech

One trend I noticed during my internship is how much schools expect their tech tools to provide useful data, not just a way for students to practice. Teachers and administrators want insights that help them make decisions, like which students need support, how classes are doing on standards, and where to focus instruction.

For edtech companies, noticing this shift early is a big advantage. Products that give schools easy-to-understand, actionable data are going to stand out and be seen as essential, not just nice to have. For people working in the industry, it means we need to go beyond knowing the features of a product. We have to connect those features to real classroom challenges and district goals like equity and student growth. That is where the value is, and it is what schools are looking for.

This internship helped me see how that plays out. I worked on projects where branding, events, and educator resources all tied back to showing the bigger impact of the tools, not just what they do on the surface. It also showed me how quickly the industry shifts and how important it is to keep an eye on what is changing so you can stay ahead.
